Beneficial Microorganisms Affect Soil Microbiological Activity and Corn Yield under Deficit Irrigation

چکیده
Water scarcity is one of the main factors that decrease growth and productivity corn, since it negatively affects gas exchange general metabolism crop. The use beneficial microorganisms (BM) has been considered a potential attenuator water stress. This study aimed to evaluate effect BM deficit on growth, exchange, grain yield, soil microbial activity. A field experiment was carried out, in which treatments were composed 2 × 4 factorial scheme, corresponding two irrigation levels (100% ETc 50% ETc) four (T) referring inoculation with (C: control; T1: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens + Azospirillum brasiliense; T2: B. subtilis; T3: A. brasiliense). evaluations out flowering phase (plant foliar nitrogen content) at end plant cycle (grains mineral nitrogen, microbiological activity). reduction depth severely restricted corn decreased yield by 38%. increased protein content grains concentration when plants inoculated BM. Under stress, 35% BM, either combination (Bacillus brasiliense) or alone (B. subtilis), attenuated adverse effects maize.

Improving irrigation water management is becoming important to produce a profitable crop in South Texas as the water supplies shrink. This study was conducted to investigate grain yield responses of corn (Zea mays) under irrigation management based on crop evapotranspiration (ETC) as well as a possibility to monitor plant water deficiencies using some of physiological and environmental factors....

Phytoremediation Potential of Corn and Oat for Increased Levels of Soil Cadmium under Different Irrigation Intervals
The present pot experiment was undertaken to investigate the phytoremediation potential of corn and oat in soil. Treatments consisted of four cadmium (Cd) levels (0, 5, 10 and 20 mg l 1) and three irrigation intervals (1, 3 and 7 days), arranged in the form of a complete randomized design with three replications. Corn and oat were harvested after 75 and 90 days, respectively. Transpiration rate...

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of deficit irrigation and mulch levels on soil physical properties and growth and yield of maize crop. The experiment comprised of two irrigation levels, i.e. I1: 558.8 mm and I2: 711.2 mm while two mulch levels, i.e. M0: no mulch and M15: 15 Mg ha. Soil samples were collected from 0-10, 10-20, and 20-30 cm depths before sowing and at crop ha...
